Got a box for my subs...confusion starts...

Ok as I have mentioned before I bought 2 10" MTX Thunder8000s. I was having difficulties one if I should build a box (would need me to buy all tools involved) or to goto a pro shop. Well after x-mas, I had enough in gift cards to best buy to purchase one of thier Q-logics. I bought a dual 10" sealed box. I told the guy the subs I had and he told me the box would be perfect...
Well I get home, take my sub and try to stick it in for measuring sake. It seems the bracket is too large to fit into the openings for the subs. The subs are 10" and this box is made for 10", However the bracket sticks out rather far, and is causeing a problem getting it in. My buddy says we should take a jigsaw to it and make the opening slightly larger...Im thinking that I should just sand the openings untill the bracket slides in...what do you guys recomend?!?

Also the subs have those connecters for the wire that you push down and it creates an opening to slide the wire into..However the box came with these wires with a clamp on it that is slightly to big to slide into the whole on the subs....Is it ok for me to clamp this alil (which would allow fitment) or is squeezing the end of it a bad idea (Im refuring to the clamp on the wire)?

BTW: Thanks for your continual help and support, you guys rock!

you can sand or jigsaw the box, it's up to you

just cut off those connectors, re-strip the wire, and then put it in the holes on the sub

i would reccomend a new box. Either build a sealed box to spec for you desired QTC or the best option for those subs would be to port them.

Well this box is perfect for size inside, and overall dimensions...
I stayed away from ported because I need something really small, and easy to pull out for track days ect. This box seemed perfect. The subs dont fit in, but by very little...Im pretty sure with just some sanding on the inside of the box whole, Ill have a perfect fit.
Again, I didnt build my own box because it was not cost effective to do it at home. I would have my own specifications, but it would cost me alot more. I think tonite Ill try sanding some with my buddy, who does alot with car audio.
As for the wires, I dont know why I didnt think about that myself lol...
