mi idle speed goes upto 2500 rpm, mostly when the engine is hot, i clean the iac valve and works better the first day, and then happend again, then i change the iac valve, for a new one and had the same problem, any idea of what could be the problem?
i had the ses light on, and after check it, the code said high rpms idling for long time, and suggest to change the iac valve, the wich i did.
please help, thank you
my car is a gmc jimmy 95 2 doors, 4.3 vin w, thanks again for your help

sounds like map sensor (located on top of intake manifold)

There is no code for that.
Please tell us the EXACT code, not your interpretation of it.

p 0507 Idle control system, idle higher than expected.
Remove the IAC valve and scrub it and the hole it inserts into with throttlebody or carb cleaner and a old toothbrush.
Then install it again, remove the negative battery terminal for 10 minutes to reset the computer.
Reconnect the negative battery terminal, start the engine and let it idle for 5 minutes so it can relearn its idle in park and then after 5 minutes get in the cab, press and hold the brake and put it into drive and hold it for 3 minutes so it can relearn the gear idle.
Then put in park. Turn the engine off. Then start it back up. Voila, it should be fixed.
