95 xj remote start installation problem

I have every wire connected and it all works but, I can't find the damn acc power wire from the ign switch. I was told it is a black/orange wire. There isn't a b;ack and orange wire. There is two red ones, a yellow one, a blue one, a grey and white one, and an orange one, I think thats it. The orange wire doesn't appera to be the one I need... I am lost, :confused: the remote start thing is kinda pointless if it dosn't turn my heater on I need some help asap... Thanks in advance guys!!

i checked with the 93 factory shop manual , i think you should be looking for the violet wire, (vio) it goes to the fuse block giving power to the heat/blower, radio, turn signals, etc. when the key is in the on position.

the 2000 factory shop manual shows a black /orange wire, the one your talking about. Sorry, I don't have any info on the 95, but I would look for the violet wire.

if you have a test light , to confirm the wire your after, it should have no power with the key in the off position then power in the on position then NO power in the start position and back to power in the on/run position.

yes, you can hook a remote to a 5 speed, when you buy the remote, you either get one for automatic or standard transmission.

to my knowledge, I believe you just leave your transmission in neuteral My friend has on his chevy silverado that is a 5 speed. I'll have to ask him how his works and where he got it...

the auto start for the standard trans deals with the clutch switch as well.
