Ok guys, lets test your knowledge. :) I know this one has been brought up a few times so maybe it should be *pinned* (hint hint ;) )
How can I take my 4th gen CRX and replace it with a B16 to make it California Smog Legal? :)

i can get a illegal smog for you in cali for few hundred i need make profit so had to charge little more money....but b16 will never past ref in cali they will let you smog a zc sohc non vtec though now but thats about it....must use motor thats the same years like 88-91 in your car.....what really sucks that there will be no 30 year roll over now in cali...so that kinda sucks hoping in another 15 years i wouldnt have to ever smog mky car again...lol

I heard if you get everything from a del sol si dohc, ecu, complete uncut harness and all the stock smog emission parts or smog legal aftermarket parts, and convert to obd-1 you could regester it as that b16, then smog it. I assume this would work if the ref didn't check the date code on the motor. Just "heresay" I'm not sayin it's true. Maybe someone could straighten it out for everyone.
