I'm looking at a 2000 Tiburon 4cylinder standard 5 speed. 50 000 miles on it. Would you recommend it?? Please post your options. Thanks

I don't know much about the car, but it's hard to make a decision without a price.

$6500

I'm just pretty much looking for over all quality of the car, performance, and major problems etc.

I bought my '00 Tib and will have it for 1 year come this February and I've had no major problems with it after I got my new clutch put in and flywheel machined. My Tib is also a 5 speed and is very reliable...like Rickna said..you can put a bunch of mods into it...although I hear there's not much for the RD Tiburons right now, but check out the links in other threads and I'm sure you can find things...I've got a whole list of things I want to add to my Tib. :sunglasse

Thats what I am looking for something reliable. Just need to get around.. Don't think i will be putting any mods into it, I did all that which my truck till a deer got in the way and I rolled it.. Just not driving wont work for me haha. I'm going to be taking this tiburon out for a test drive this week so hopefully all goes well. :D

Headers, exhaust, turbos, cam kits, pullies, etc are available for the RD.

Another question, what kind of warrenty came with the 2001 tib?

Mister_Sinister

It came with a 10 yr/100,000 mile powertrain warranty and a 5 yr/60,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty. The powertrain warranty is only for the original owner; it can't be transferred. The bumper to bumper, however, you'll get. Just call the Hyundai warranty dept. after you buy the car and give them your VIN and personal info.

For 2001, Tiburon got a standard rear spoiler. also new were metal-look interior trim and revised front bucket seats with manual 6-way driver's adjustment, new engine mounts, and a stiffer dashboard......not sure if this helps much in making a decision but just info i found the 00 doesnt come with the standard spoiler and the interrior in the 01 is supposed to be better quality but pretty much the same
