I also think that DelSols are very good cars, I don't understand how I forgot to list it under Honda before....
They look pretty nice:

Those are a couple handsome pictures of that Del Sol. I think they're pretty nice-looking, though they're not my cup of tea as I like coupes or small sedans, not convertibles. I certainly would take one over most cars on the road. But if I HAD to get a Honda convertible: S2000.

Technicaly it's not a convertible. It's a targo top thats what makes it so heavey.

Oops.. oh yeah :) Sorry about that, and thanks for the accurate info.

SolReaver:

As a High school insomniac who loved DelSols I spent countless sleepless nights looking at Delsols on the net. Well, I once found a place that made a replacement glass top! It looked awesome.

Hey, doesn't the VTEC run with the B16A?

There's a del sol near where I live that's got a Twin Turbo! I've heard it's fast...and I believe it.

JD@af

Yes, the B16A1 is VTEC.

enzo@af
01-22-2001, 03:26 PM
yeah, I know that the B16A has VTEC, but I was wondering if that is the engine that is the VTEC del sol?

JD@af
01-22-2001, 05:31 PM
Yes, that as well. There was a version of the B16A (the B16A3) available in the 1994 to 1997 Civic Del Sol VTEC/Vti-T in the US and Europe making 158 ps (I forget the exact conversion, but this is something in the range of 155 to 160 horsepower - probably 160).

igor@af
01-22-2001, 05:33 PM
280ps = 276hp
158ps should = someting less than 158, probably 156 or 155 :D

Twin turbo Delsol hows that? What kind of hp is he pulling at the wheel? and how did he do that?

Del Sol is probably one of the most fun and cool looking cars you can ride for the price. What was it like $17.000-19.000 for a fairly sporty nice looking convertible(i know its technically not a convertible, but hey whos keeping track?)

the TT was sequential. I really don't know how much hp he had, but I have friends that can testify for it's credibility as TT.

They're called CRX's here in Australia even though they have nothing to do with the original CRX.

Do they still make them in Australia? They are nice lookin'. I saw one just yesterday, had the european style antenna mounted in the center-back of the roof, looked cool, but they should have removed the other antenna first. It would have taken much work to get the hole filled, but it would have made a world of difference.

haha its great to see other people loving the del sol. My friends always make fun of me calling it del slow.....whatever there just jealous cause my cars faster. Except this one guy he drives a nice supra.

Yea the Vtec model is pretty quick. I have one. B16a3 different suspension and tranny. Oh yea how do some people have those electronic targa. I probably built some muscle doing that everyday.

By the way my aux. lights are not working anymore. I believe it was because this huge truck kicked up some water and next thing i know its not working. I hate truck drivers...espically in texas no curtiousy.
If you have any suggestions on how to fix please e-mail me or post again

Its a waste of time. I could remove the roof myself quicker than it can and ive always got eh worry that it will stop working (like right now I cant get into my boot or put the roof on or the windows up until Honda dealser fixes it
