Changing radio

I have a 2001 Aurora and I was thinking of replacing the Bose head unit with that I had in my previous car. I want to know is it possible to get the buttons on the steering wheel to work with another head unit? Has anyone tried it?

I've just read that Cadilac also has the bose radio that has MP3 and DVD audio. I wonder if it would function in the Aurora and steering buttons??

the dept. that handles car stereo. OR, a STEREO SHOP that R & R this feature. (Good Guys)etc.

If they both have the same plug it "should" work. The classics have the blue plug radio. I think in y2k they switched to a white plug.

I just talked to a car audio installer today and asked the same question. He told my that Interphase just came out with a new connector. And that he just installed one in a grand prix and it worked great. He thought it was around $50.

where can i buy this Interphase device i cant find it anywhere online?

I havent found that brand yet, but there are some PAC steering packages on ebay you can buy now for 50-60.
