In the summer 03, my car had stalling issues and it ended up being a fuel pump. the car would jerk, cut off and cut back on after it cooled down.No service engine soon light.
Now is is cuting off again. This time it cuts off but starts right back up. Acceleration cuts completely out and jerks before cutting off.(My foot will be steady on the gas but it feels like i have let up completely or am pressing it repeatedely) When starting, the engine revs up to a high rpm and doesn’t idle for almost 30 seconds. When thrown into gear, the car will drive itself at about 30 mph before dying. The service engine soon light has comes on for about 2 seconds, but turns off. The car dies going down the road, but can be started while moving. the problem is more severe when coming to a stop or accelerating from a stop.
Fixed: fuel pump, crank sensor, mass airflow sensor. Idle air control .
After: The car is able to be driven longer distances without cutting off, but still has the same problem. Once it cuts off, it takes multiple tries to start is because it dies immediately after being started. The jerking is less severe and occurs less, but is still present.
The shop can't pinpoint the exact problem because it won't show any codes.I can't afford to keep fixing things that won't help. Any advice is greatly appreciated. From other posts i have found possible solutions lika a tps or the cpu.
