has anybody port/polished their heads? i was thinking about getting a used head from the junk yard and chunkin away on it.. (i have read several "how to's") i just want to see if anybody has done it yet.. for some advice

if you dont know what ur doing, dont bother. If you take to much off you can do damage to your engine. Its really worth it if you got some kind of forced induction, otherwise expect maybe 5-10HP increase from a really good port and polihs job.

You can't get an extremely smooth polish with a dremel or whatever so you wont do much improving. Porting would help a little but I've seen a friend get a little over zealous and f*ck his head up! You can try on a junk head though, theres no harm in that! Just go easy and see if you can get both the inlet and exhaust manifolds to check against!
