i am about to buy a 94 ultra but i'd like to know what's the difference between this car and the regular sedan and its maintenance cost.
I will appreciate all comments.

The big difference is that the "ultra" version has a super charger. This boosts the HP dramatically (with great performance) at the cost of about 1-2 MPG over the standard version of the Park Ave.

the SC bearings will usually go around every 80000 miles, and is semi pricy fix if you have it done professionally. I think the benefits of the added power outweigh the cost, but if you want a cheaper maintenence car, as opposed to a high power car, go with the sedan. I like the ultra, it has the SC and had prettier styling

well, i got a 92 ultra and from what i heard/seen, in 92-93-94 its about the same , although an ultra will have 225 hp ( 1994) vs 170 hp from
the normal one, an ultra will also have better suspension and handling,it handles better than my corolla did. unless a normal one has it optionnal..plus more standard equipement bla bla bla :)
as for the supercharger itself, you have to change the oil in it every 30000 miles... but some here say it's better once a year.. its a 4$ bottle and its rather easy to do you suck the old oil out with a turkey baster.. ( i know, it sounds strange) ..as for the rest, its a normal maintenance on a car like this... oh an you add another serentine belt..so you end up with 2.
normal warm up on cold mornings and good maintenace, it lasts forever. the only thing about the supercharger it self it will at one time need new bearings,.. now i know there costly to change but a good used one if rather easy to find. Or , if you have access to a wrench jedi, like i do, you can rebuilt yours for less 150$..the bearings in that thing are standard 6208 bearings if im correct..its not very high tech... but it does wonders...everytime you will floor 85% on the raod will stay behind :)
and its very uselful when passing a car or geting on freeway,
if you get a PA, and have a chance to get an ULTRA, it's THE car you need to get.
i never had a superecharged car before and i must tell you, it certainly wont be the last :)
