Speed sensor question

ok, i have had my 97 aurora on a scope, and they have determined that i have an open speed sensor on my rear driver hub. now, the only way to get the sensor replaced is to replace the hub. i have the new hub, and will have it put on. my question is, i have my abs light and my traction light on on the dash, once i replace the hub, will my traction work and my abs function properly?? also, sometimes when i turn, i get a pulsation in the wheel, will this sensor replacement also fix that problem?? i was wondering if anyone knew, because i believe that the hub will fix all of these problems, but i really dont understand how a rear speed sensor would effect the steering. thanks for the answers in advance.

It will fix your ABS and TRACTION light problem.

As far as the pulsing that sounds like you got a warped front brake rotor. Which is a common problem for these cars.

I just did the rear brakes when i got the car, and i already have new front pads and rotors for the front. i was going to do the front as well, but they looked ok. i didnt really look at them really good, but they looked ok. but, with your advice, i may take a better look and hope that you are right and be done with it. im due for a oil change shortly, so it may be a good idea to have them remove the front tires while they do it for inspection. thanks for you advice and i hope your right. :)

The pulsating in the front is the traction control, try turning it off. It pulsates more when the tires begin to wear. This is normal for this car.
