93 Park ave won't start also

93 PA won't start up. Engine turns over but it sounds like no spark, wait a while it may or may not start. Sometimes it just dies. I have been reading some of these posts here and it all points to the VATS stuff. Now, If i bypass the wires from the steering column with the proper resistor will it just work? Seems there has to be more about it. Any help would be appreciated.. thanx

Your best bet is to run some codes from teh ECM, see exactly what is going on... could be a crank sensor or even a ignition module, fuel pump etc... read the codes first... best way to attack the issue!
