Prancing Horse vs Untamed Panda

Yes...
I tooled around with a brand new fresh from the dealership "still had dealerplates" Ferrari 360 Modena F1
http://www.elite-zuzwil.ch/docs/ferrari/360_grau_g.jpg
So, it was a dark and stormy night. And the wind blew with such fierce force.... wait.
Wrong story.
I went on down to www.Vildinimotorsport.com (http://www.vildinimotorsport.com) to have my exhaust leak fixed along with some minor other things. Turns out that for the last month, I'd been driving around with only one bolt holding the downpipe on... out of three. No wonder she felt down on power and was noisey.
All problems fixed, car runs like a champ now. Forgot how quiet it actually is, for a old car with no insulation, when all the leaks and rattles are gone. Was a quite pleasant drive home.
I know the freeways at about 4-5pm would be packed, and my leg wasn't looking forward to an hour or more of stop-go traffic. So took a detour to the coast. Cruising down Newport, one of the richer parts of Southern California. I spot a red Mustang GT in traffic about 7 cars up ahead.
I figured I could go play with him if I could jokey into position, well, a SUV that was behind the Mustang changed lanes and revealed her.
A Silver Ferrari 360 Modena F1, and like I said, still had the "Newport Autosport" Exotic car dealerplate.
"Ok, Screw the Pony. I want the whole Horse."
I was going to hop in the right lane to get next to the 360, but he moved over to the left lane. I decided to stay in the middle lane where I was. And the traffic Gods were nice and we ended up next to each other.
I'm looking over the car, such sexyness should be illegal on the road ways. I check out the driver, some young guy... wearing a sun visor like a Rice-Boy and his hair all dyed at the tips with lots-o-moose. And he's on the phone.
Stupid Rich people.
Anywho, I had to mess with him. And he was going to take it. I think it's in the contract you sign when you buy a Ferrari. That you will be messed with just for the fact that it is a Ferrari.
Well, I give him a nice 3,000rpm rev... the "conversation" went like this...
360 Driver: :sly:
Me:
360 Driver: *looks away*
Untamed Panda: 4,500rpm Rev, hint of Blow off.
360 Driver:
Me:
360 Driver: *looks away*
Untamed Panda: 6,800rpm rev, lots of blow off.
360 Driver:
Me: :grinyes:
Light goes green, Traffic ahead of us starts to move. He takse off slow and I'm listening for it, I heard the song of the V8 start to come to life. I mashed 1st gear... bad Idea. All 12psi of boost came on instantly and rocketed me past the Ferrari and almost into the back of a Ford Excursion.
We slow back down cause traffic through this section is hideous. And the 360 pulls back up next to me.
360 Driver: :eek7:
Me:
Traffic moves again, but no space to hit it again. About 3 minutes later and maybe a block or two away. We're moving along at about 25-30mph. Still next to the Ferrari I'm in 2nd gear riding along. Traffic clears up for a moment and he takes his chance at redemption.
Unfortunately, I anticipated his move and gunned 2nd gear. I was only able to get on it for about 2 seconds but it was enough to keep me ahead of the Italian beauty.
Now I have to get off this street, the coast route was coming up and I had to exit. Damn, no more fun with the 360.
I know he'd get me in a full out race, this is most obvious. I might of gotten him in the short game, just cause he's fairly new to the car (I assume by dealer plates). But his Top end would of straight walked me like a dead dog.
Ah well, wasn't a real race. Messing in traffic don't count. But it was fun none-the-less.
I messed with a Porsche Carrera convertible on the freeway the other day, before I had all my parts fixed. Nothing exciting... he looked like a rich kid who had the car bought for him. Unfortunately, it being a convertible when you're behind him you can see his thinning hair and that he's going bald. Poor guy.

Bravo! Bravo! Damn, had to atleast leave to bookmarks on this page to finish the story, but it was well worth my time. I can only imagine how fun that would be to keep up with a Ferrari. Life's untamed Stallions. Well, as for me, the nicest and fastest car I would have to have seen is the legendary Porsche Carrera GT here in Utah County. It's bright yellow. I first thought it was a Ferrari or something, but once I got behind it I saw the Carrera GT logo. May sound like BS, but I'm sure someone like Neutrino or Polygon can vouche for me. I'll have to get picks of it sometime. I usually see it in my town quite a bit. I think the guy might even live here in town. Still, I would love to "TRY" and race him someday. late...

Right now, with just Tokico lowering springs it's real floaty.
Kinda like a Buick Park Avenue... but you still feel the bumps so it's a shitty ride.
But since it's kinda floaty, when you get on it hard from a dig. It throws all it's weight back and the nose comes way up. The ass just squats down and grabs the pavement.
So, right now she's good for straight lines. Soon, full suspension will be bought and that'll be changed. Then I might look into Solo2 racing.

They actually give you a bit more confidence cause you feel in more control of the car.
