Hi all,
Just bought a 1996 olds aurora with 108,000 miles. Bought this car at auction. Before buying I let it run for 45 minutes checked tranny no codes and idled fine. Was high bidder and picked up car. While driving home check engine light came on and car misses like a fuel problem at cruising speeds. while at light the rpms dropped then came back up. This didnt happen at all the lights just a couple.
I will get engine light code but what else should I look at? I dont believe the wires or plugs have been change yet. And as far as the fuel rail recall. Is there something I can just check under the hood to tell this?
Thanks all

Classic Auroras are sensitive to plugs, wires, and coils - - any of these can cause misses or hesitation. I would certainly start there unless codes indicate otherwise. Some people say to stick with original equipment plugs and wires, but I have used Bosch with good results.
