Fuel smell/stalling at cold temperatures

Hi there. I have a 2002 4.7 L Dodge Ram 1500, and when the outside temperature dips below -30 C (as it is today here in Winnipeg), I get a strong smell of fuel after the engine is warmed to normal operating temperatures, although it's more like what you'd smell in exhaust containing unburnt or semi-burnt fuel. I have also noticed a watery blackish fluid (not motor oil) that drips off of the engine and seems to originate somewhere above the oil filter. This fluid has the same smell as what I can smell sitting in the cab. I also have a problem of rough idle when creeping in drive (as when you are in heavy traffic and inching along....feels like a bucking bronco...this occurs at any outside temp after the engine is warm), and the engine sometimes wants to stall during the warm-up period when coming to a complete stop. I've taken the vehicle in to the dealer several times (two differnt dealers), but they are never able to find any problem. Help please.

I hear that, I live just outside Winnipeg. Cold sucks.

What dealers did you take it to?

If you have an antifreeze or water leaking from the heads it could look like black ice dripping down. Not really much you can do but garage her. Fuel molecules shrink in the cold. Kind of like what Nitrous Oxide is. Maybe retard your timing a bit and see if that helps at all. Tough to tell for sure.
