Making a B20 CRVTec

Well a friend of mine is going to sell his CRX for 1000. It comes with a intake, head, exhaust, tockico shocks and struts, two clutches and a fender to repair a fucked up fender. But the only thing his car is missing is the motor. Prior to the motor stolen he had a b16 in it before it blew. So since there was no damage to the block its self, he decided to bore and stroke it and basically build a full motor. Well before he got it running, the motor, along with the hasport mounts I now have to buy, was stolen. Since his 88 CRX had a b16 and is hence wired for vtec, will another ecu upgrade be required? I understand all b series transmissions will mount up but will a stock b series tranny be able to handle all of the torque from a b20 with a vtec head? If I use a b16a1 head will all of the retaining bolts and springs have to be redone? Since the b20 blocks wernt meant to spend a lot of time at a high rpm will the block have to be reinforced?

No you will not have to do any more ECU upgrades if he wired it correctly.
Yes all the B series trannies should be able to hold the power of a B20/VTEC.
Yes you need a block girddle to reinforce the main caps and crankshaft.
Also a VTEC oil pump would be a good idea as well.
