Magnet Heater

Knowing the 4.2 engine has alot of aluminum on it, does anyone know a safe place to allow a magnet heater to warm the engine in sub-zero temps?
Would it be okay to attach the magnet heater to the oil filter? It's minus 15 degrees F already this evening. TIA
