I have a 98 Z71 and i was wondering if anyone else was experiencing interior lights going out. Im talking bout the ones that light up the radio buttons and the Eject button on the CD slave, also the one that lights up the driver side power lock button, and the one that lights up the headlight control knob have all gone out, can i even replace these little bulbs? and where can i get them from?

I had a 1998 with the CD/Radio unit in the dash (no tape player) and had the same problem. It started with a few of the buttons intermittenly going out, then they all started going out. In the end (just sold the truck) only the word "Volume" was lit up on the radio.
From what other's told me, the lights are not easily replaced...apparently there is a bulb for each button? Somewhere on this forum somebody gave a part number for replacement LED bulbs available at Radio Shack but I think most people say replacing the radio is the best fix. You might try a search.
I didn't have the problem with the panel lights.

I have a 98 Z71 with the original delco radio/cassette player. Buttons started going out 1 by 1 . now only illuminated buutons are #4,#2, seek, volume, p.scan. It does not bother me enough to want to fix it

Though it may sound strange I think that's about the order my lights started going out in. Eventually just the upper left part of the radio was lit--it looked strange at night but I actually got used to it.
