ive got a '96 V6 rodeo
my battery isnt getting a charge, ive replaced the alternator and the battery(had a bad cell)
ideas?

The isuzu 3.2L hates aftermarket/rebuilt/reman. alternators. You may get lucky & find one that works. Most do not.

I hope you're talking about your alternator! :lol2: :uhoh: (sorry man.. couldn't resist)
From what I've read/seen, bench testing is not all that accurate. Best bet is try to find a new/oem alternator. You need to see ~14VDC across the battery with the truck running (with a quality volt/multi meter).

Been down this same road, just this past summer - in the end, I ended up with a BOSCH alternator.
Works great!
FWIW - these trucks don't care for the whimpy Everstart batteries from Walmart either, i.e. 600 CCA. Although that's what the book recommends; had to change that out too, after only 3 months.
Now have the Interstate 750 CCA and BOSCH alternator - truck loves this combo!

Little over $200, but well worth it. Would never again waste my time with a reman. alternator. That thing gave me such a headache this summer.

hey, thanks...considering that after a new battery and alternator im already out about $200, i'll be glad if another $200 fixes it once and for all

ok, now im on alternator #3....this one is a bosch....still no go!!!
is there a voltage regulator outside the alternator?
