I've burned all of my videos and mp3 files onto cd's but I also want to burnt my ISP software. The question is how do I know that all of the files I need areon the cd? Im going to formatt the hard drive and put in windows XP. If there is some info that is needed for the ISP software that is in OS directory and not with the ISP directory how would I find it?:bandit:

Who is your ISP, and what types of info do you need to backup from them?

Your best bet is to find an installation disk. There is just too much you would need to back up. There are files all over the system that programs install. There are also registry information for every program. You could try burning what you can, but it may not work later.

I was hoping that I wouldn't have to do that....

When you download it, it should have a setup file right? Just copy that setup file...

that completely defeats the purpose of reformatting, u get all your shitted up os shit on your newly reformatted drive, waste of time

if u download the installation files off junos website then your fine. u dont need to back up any juno crap as long as u have the installation files and you have your login name and password

backing up juno's program directory will NOT work

When I formatted, I had all of my driver disks. Make sure you have your modem one for sure, though, so you can go to the net for help, if necessary. Then format, and install all of the drivers. When it doesn't work, try again until it does:D

But your isp software, I dunno. I had cable, so it was just plug and play with windows explorer.
