In the process of adjusting my throttle cables, i noticed a plug in the coner of my eye, that didn't have a cap on it. It is on the drivers side, between the intake mani. and the firewall. It looks like the ignition switch that is behind the battery, just for reference. It wasn't plugged into anything, and there was a cap on it either, so i could be the reason i have idle surge(hey, i'm excited i found another possible fix). Any info on what the plug is would be helpful. I don't have a digital camera, so ican't take any pics, i may be able to get some tomorrow night, if nobody can figure it out before then. Thanks

post a pic of it but it sounds like its the plug you need to ground to adjust your idle the right way. i never got a reply from you whether adjusting your idle the way vfaq.com said to fixed your problem so im guessing that you never tried it. until you adjust your idle the right way you WILL have idle problems especially now that you have cleaned your TB and tried my TB and changed a bunch of stuff.

Oh sorry man, slipped my mind to tell you. I have adjusted my idle the correct way, via vfaq. It is not the ignition timing switch, it is on the completly other side of the car. You TB did not work, my original one is in the car again, while i take yours apart to see what was wrong. I hope the switch has something to do with my idle, that would be great!

did you get your throttle cable fixed? because you said my TB revs up after you start it. if your throttle cable is sticking still i would fix that before i do anything else.
EDIT>> i just noticed your car is a 5speed i wonder if the auto and manual TB are different? the one i sent you was from an auto

Check the picture in my gallery, so for the red line, i took this from the dsmtuners site, the green arrow is pointing in the general area of where the plug is, except is it behind the intake mani, and down lower, about level to where the ISC sits on the throttle body. Mine is tired down to wire sheathing
