will these 2.4 quads interchange? look here please

I pulled a 2.4 out of my 96 cavalier which i wrecked. it is a good engine with no problems. My question is can i switch it into a 97 achieva 2.4 4spd auto?? i will strip it to the block and head and keep everything else. Everything is identical i think, and im sure the block and head are an exact fit. Does this not seem right.? any info would be appreciated

As far as I know they are interchangeable. Contact a junkyard or someone with a Hollander interchange manual and they can tell you.

go to www.jbody.org they have all information you will ever need, they can even tell you how to spaw a V6 3400 engine into it. As for a direct swap, no i dont think so. You will either need the trans from the 96 and the PCM as well. Other than that, it should be very sraight forward.
