when beginning acceleration. It's blowing gray smoke.
There's no noise from the engine, it's sounds the same.
Smoke started yesterday, but I kinda waved it off cause
at 2 degrees (F) outside and I only drive 1 3/10 of a mile
to work. I was thinking it's cold.
But this morning when I left work it was around 35 degrees
and I saw the exhaust smoke was heavy and lost compression
going uphill.
The oil pressure is OK.
Can it be the PCV? I'm guessing it's under the engine cover.
Gee,http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v474/beak/bad-day.gif 2 days before Christmas, I don't need this!

talked to 2 more mechanics, both said it's got to be a cracked head.
But it's not.
Changed the oil, there was more fluid than it should have been.
it's looks watery. But smell like gas.

Well, still trying to figure out what caused the loss of compression.
After the oil was changed and a couple of bottles of fuel injector cleaner
and gas dryer. Everything is normal, power has been restored!
I'm still not sure what caused the problem. I'm assuming it was a blockage of some sort in the fuel system.

hehehehe, Glad I was only asking those Mechanics in passing,http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v474/beak/THE-raspbery.gif
Good thing I never hired one of them!
Thanks for the reply. I'll keep that in mind if/when I have anymore
trouble out of it. I had bought gas in a different area, the price was
lower and I had never used that brand before. And that may have been a factor when the temp hit -6 and the problem began.
Well the temp was 7 degrees this am when I left work. It didn't give me
any trouble.
The AWD Safari did a great job last yr in the Snow (Had a total of 102"
for last winter). It's does better that my 94 Dogde Ram 1500 ever did.
But I MISS being able to open the hood and have all that room to
work on it. Everything on the van is a P.I.T.A. to get to.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v291/givemesomebeak/egg-escape.gif
