How much snow do you have where you live?

I'm up in Ontario, Canada. We got about 12" inches here over night ... and it is still snowing. Almost a snow day .. but unfortunately it is just another Canadian winter day.

There's about 3 inches here in Saint John, NB, but it's +11C and there's a heavy rainfall warning for tonight, so it'll likely be all gone tomorrow.

Here in Richmond, VA (to quote Animal House)

Mr. Blutarski. ZERO. POINT. ZERO.

We had an inch last weekend, paralyzed the city. I laughed since I just moved here last fall and used to live in more northerly climes.

We have about 2" here in Prince Edward Island, Canada.

Same as Heep, we'll be getting that heavy rainfall too, just later.

Don't want to complain too much though, you don't have to shovel rain..

I guess Santa better get the young fella a skateboard instead of a snowboard.

(Insert old mans voice here), "Back when I was a kid"... Seriously though, back, waaaay back when I was a kid, I remember walking over the telephone wires on my street at this time of year.

And that wasn't just a "freak storm" like last year, we got winters like that all of the time.

I just read a news story on CNN .. and there was a picture a some guys in Arkansaw (sp?) out on the road, at the bottom of a hill, putting chains on his tires. There was about 1/2" of snow in the pic and he was in a long sleeve shirt and no gloves. Looked funny compared to here where everyone drives in 12" to 24" inches of snow all winter without chains.

Unfortunately Christmas day is supposed to be below freezing though so we may end up with ice everywhere - I'd rather have snow if that's the case.

You're right though, the winters have been getting tamer each year, seemingly.

I hear Ontario has been FREEZING (like -30 to -40C) for the past week? Yeesh, it's been hovering around the 0 mark (often above) on the East coast for the past week...

That's rich. :D It's amazing that people can't function with that much snow. You wouldn't believe how many accidents there were last week with 1" and some ice. Amazing.

Not even a half an inch here in North Jersey. It all dissappeared since were getting heavy rain today. Two days ago it was 25 degrees farenheit with a wind chill of 7 and -4 at night, while yesterday topped out at 48 degrees f and today tops out at 52 so far, and its around noon right now. Odd winter weather for NJ. We usually get snow and temperatures around 30 on average at this time of year

Just went outside, and the snow is already all gone from lawns and such. Only small piles from plows/shoveling left now.

As much as I hate snow, it can be rather fun being a street-rally driver :D

Yeah here in northern arkansas we have about 7 inches of snow on top of an inch or so of ice. There was probably a reason for the chains. Tuesday night it rained all night long, then it froze, leaving us with about an inch or so of ice. Then it snows on top of that. So with an inch of ice and snow, its hard to drive. Hell last night coming home i had to lock my bronco in 4 wheel drive just to get up a big hill. But now it has quit snowing, still around 5 degrees F for the low so stuff is still frozen.

We dont see many ppl putting chains on around here, mainly just ppl that cant drive in it. The only ppl that get out here when it snows or ice is ppl with 4 wheel drives or ppl that are just stupid and usually end up on the side of the road, or in a ditch.

It's basically all gone here now. It's pretty warm out for Christmas time too, I drove home from work with my windows down and the sunroof open. Went out with a friend to get a movie at 8:30pm and it was still 10C out, or 50F for the stone-age users :p

Nice day :)

Caught the weather for here today/tonight.

Let's see, rain then ice pellets, then fog then more rain then some freezing rain and then maybe some snow...
Ahhh Island weather, if you don't like it wait five minutes and it'll change.

I really would like to wake up to a white Christmas..can I say CHRISTmas? Don't want to offend anyone..

Merry Christmas to you all anyways.

Here's hoping that you and yours get what you want and not what you deserve, no matter what the weather..

The snow is completely gone here now. Also, the rain has stopped, and it's above freezing so it's just all running off rather than freezing and making ice everywhere. Supposed to get up to 13C (55F) today too - I can handle this :D

Possible flurries for tonight, less than 1cm expected. Tomorrow is supposed to be bright and sunny but cold (-11C (12F) in the morning).

Fucking snow ...

I got home from work last night and there was a 4'-0" high snow bank at the end of my driveway from the snow plow. God I hate the snow!!!

It took me 3 hrs. to shovel enough of the driveway to get the car in. Today I am done at work at 12:00 noon, then I get to finish the rest of the driveway.

Oh yeah ... I have two driveways. One to park the car on one side of the house and one to get into the garage on the other side of the house. That's about 125'-0" of driveway!!!

I hope Santa brings me a snowblower .. yeah right!!!

Dustin_S

We have 25-30" of snow, drifts upwards of 5 feet tall, and man-made piles of snow topping 15 feet tall. my Nissan is completely covered from ground to roof- there's a pile of snow in front of my house that looks like it sprouted two mirrors and an antenea aerial. One station wagon was completely covered, and only the aerial was visible. Snow plows are useless because they drive ten feet and then have to stop because the snow is falling OVER their blades.

In the words of my MSN name, "We got sn-0wn3d"

Yea looks similar to where I'm at now, we're open 365 days a year but if we work holidays is double time and a half so it's not too bad at all.
