pioneer or sony?

what is a better speaker sony explod or pioneer. ive had people tell me that the sony is better, but of all the sony speakers ive heard most have no bass and do not have good sound.

I'd go with pioneer, also are you talkin about 6' 6x9 or subs?

the pioneers-get the 2way or the 3ways-4ways don't have good bass.

I've got 6 1/2' 4way pioneers up front for highs than i got some alpine 6x9's 3ways for the rear great bass from them. cost about the same as the pioneers but are stronger/powerful

I would recomend the Infinity Kappa's if they are for rear fill. I don't like the tweeters on the Kappas at all. but as rear fill it is nice. I have owned the Kappa 6x9's and they do punch, nothing like a 10 but they hit for what they are. Only problem is they are a bit pricey and they have a pretty deep mounting depth.

The Pioneers have 300 watt max and 40 watt RMS. Sony's 6x9 are only 280 watt max but have 80 watt RMS. I'd go with the sony's.
Also, the sony 6x9 are $20 cheaper at $79.99. Just so ya know.

Pioneer or Sony=DOWNGRADE!!!

They both are piles o crap. Buy Alpine or Infinity. For the price, they are much more worth it. IMO. Good luck.

It's up to your ears. If the Sonys sound like shit(which they do) to you, then go with the Pioneers. It's you that's going to be listening to them while driving so don't go by other people's opinions if they sound bad to you.
