Convertible Top Replacement

I have a '94 Cutlass convertible that is in need of a new top. I was wondering what this would cost as this is the first time buying a new top for me. I am hoping to transfer to rear window to the new top but was also wondering what fabrics other people have used. I understand the pinpoint vinyl was the original fabric, but the sailcloth has been a popular replacement.
Any advice would be appreciated.

I have a 93 Cutty ragtop that needs a new lid also. I am leaning toward the canvas top even though it will be more expensive. I had a top put on a 92 Z-24 Cavalier about 3 years ago, it was vinyl using the existing rear window and the whole deal cost me $600.
If I go with the canvas top, new rear window, all new pads and hardware it will run around $1500. But if I go with the sailcloth which is a little bit cheaper, it would be around $1200. If you get one done with the existing rear window you could probably keep the cost just under a grand.
Nothing like a ragtop!!
Merry Christmas.
