I have a 92 wrangler with 4.0 liter with 32 inch tires and a 2" body lift and I just found out that my 4 wheel drive is not working. I had to have the transfer case replaced shortly after I got it (last september) because the shifting fork that moves the collar inside was worn and the replacement had a steel fork in it. We now have about 4 inches of snow on the ground and the back end keeps breaking loose. I checked the vacuum lines and found a potential problem. Whether it is in 2wd or 4wd the same line is drawing air on the vacuum motor to engage the front end. I took some fuel line and went directly to the front end with a vacuum line and still cannot get it to work. Could this be a bad vac motor? I read a post with a related problem and it said that there is a cable to engage the front end? If so where can I get one? Any help would be greatly appreciated because until it stops snowin and they get the roads cleaned up my jeep is parked

If you check any of the Jeep Magazines, or online shops you will find the kit. They run between $149 and $200 and are very easy to install. It should only take about 2, maybe 3 hours to install. The hardest part is runing the cable thru the fire wall to the dash.
This kit works great. I had one on my 86 Jeep Cherokee and will be installing one on my 95 Yj as soon as it starts to act up.
