I'll moce this to the correct section.
Sketches to get good ideas down, 10-15 minutes. Now these look horrible, but its just to get an idea.
Good, final shaded/colored drawings, 5 hours and on up from there.
Pay attention to the different values and shades, as well as very minute details.

For me, sketches take around 15 mins without rendering. If I shade them quickly, I can finish a full rendering in about 40-45 minutes. If I take my time, using a grid, I usually take around 20 hours or more, depending on the color, detail of the car, and whether there is background or not. The longest I've taken is around 40 hours.

15-30 min sketch, 5 min tracing sketch onto better paper (if i'm lazy), 10 min corrections, 2 hours perfecting and tracing (and then getting frusturated with the proportions and spending another 2 hours erasing and scribbling at it). Total; 4 hours and 45 minutes for an ok drawing.
So far the longest I've started and finished a project from end to end is about 2 months with i'm guessing about 10 hours of work.
Oh, and BTW, about 1/4 of my sketches become actual drawings.

Lol. I finish in 1.5 hours, but my NSX for my contest might be a 10-15-20 hour-er-er?

15 -30 mins on the pencil sketch depending on how complex the car is/how hungover i am.
then rendering, probably a little longer, 30 -45 mins. i get bored if im on the same sketch for too long. i have on very rare occasions spent a proper amount of time on a car drawing (say, like of a real one)...maybe 4 hours. something like that.

My longest was 6 months.
But for my really detailed ones I average anywhere from 2-3 hours to 20+ hours.
Sketches- usually under 30-40 minutes.
