1996 Galant Idle Problem

I have a 1996 Galant exe, 1.8L, Carbuerator.
The car is not idling, I start it with my foot on the gas, when a remove my foot the car shuts off. I recently took it to the machanic for this problem he overhauled the Carbuerator. The can ran fine for about a week, and is doing the same thing again.
What could be causing this problem. Does any body know

These cars don't have carborators. Try again.

They do !!!. Well at least mine has.
