It seems that somehow transmission oil has made it's way into my rear axle vent on my 1993 jeep wrangler 6 cyl automatic. What would cause this and is it something i need to get looked at imediatly. Is it husge cuase for concern? ANy suggestions?

What color is the oil coming out of the vent??
Are the axle seals leaking?? how about the pinion seal??
Best thing would be to remove the axle cover and drain it. Clean up the sealing surfaces and use RTV silicone on the cover. Torque the cover bolts to 20 ft/lb torque and put in new 75w90 synthetic gear oil.
Make sure that the vent tube is clear and the vent fitting is also.
