1995 305 idling high

I have a 1995 chevy C1500. I recently replaced the engine w/one that was used. I did however reuse all of the modules and tbi and distributor from my original engine. Now I cannot get the engine to idle correctly. I set the timing per the chiltons manual at 0 degrees with the set timing connector disconnected. The engine idles too high. I believe it is idling around 1500 rpms. Any ideas as what to check next?

Did you replace the TBI gasket? On my 90 GMC when I had a high idle, it was the TBI gasket.

Also check for any broken or cracked vacuum lines.

I did not replace the gasket, however I have checked for cracked lines. I will give that a try. Thanks
