SAFC with larger injectors

Does anyone know if a SAFC works good with upgraded injectors. I am planning on uprading to 550cc injectors. I know I can tune it but the question is will the timing be OK? Messing with the air flow signal scews with the timing. And on turbo engines, timing is important. I want to know because I am too cheap to buy a JWT tuned ECU or a power FC. But if I cant do it with the SAFC, I will break down and buy the Power FC. Also, does anyone know how the stock boost controller on the redtop works? I know the Power FC will adjust the stock boost controller, but I dont have one. I am looking for one if anyone has one.

It does screw with the factory timing maps, but a lot of people use it with sucess. The SR ECU may react differently than the KA ECU, but people use the SAFC on the KA and just make sure base timing is correct. The SAFC II comes with a knock sensor display so you can monitor timing as well. I would advise a wideband as well because over time, the factory ECU slowly changes part-throttle maps back to the factory maps. Ergo you will be running lean one day at part throttle. If you have the money, go with the power FC or another stand-alone. Glad to see you came back okay. Thanks for going over there. Good luck.

To answer Driftking's question, I am still in Iraq. They just have a great internet cafe here. I am still here and dont return to Cali for another couple of months, then the mass of parts will be bought from the nice savings. Yes, JWT has an SR tuned ECU, but for that money I will buy a power FC on Ebay.
