Bought a replacement off Ebay and followed the programming procedure to the letter. I jumper G & A on the block, the door locks cycle, the remote cycles them and then I remove the jumper. NADA. The only thing that seems it might be wrong is the trunk release isn't working. The button release in the glovebox doesn't pop it either.

Any ideas on why this fricking RKE won't work?

Thanks in advance!

If it's not working on the remote, AND the inside release, then it's not your remote. Sounds like it might be the motor in the trunk itself.

What I am wondering is if the trunk doesn't release during the programming, does that screw up the programming? It is the only thing that isn't happening.

I jump the terminals and the doors cycle but the trunk does not release. I press the remote and the door locks cycle again. when I remove the jumper the remote does not work.

Time to pull the trunk motor and see if I can get it working.
