What price am I looking forward to seeing if I want a WW W-Type kit painted to match a factory color? What are some of the details I should be aware of, as in what makes a good paint job. Like number of coats, clear coats, etc. So I know what the shop is talking about when he says he does quality work. Thanks

If its just a lip on the front and back, it should probably cost around $600 for paint+install.
If they are actual front and back bumpers, its gonna cost a little more, probably around $1200.

an import place where i am said they usually charge $100 a piece for kits to paint them and then 50 to install.

you have to know if your kit is fiberglass or uthernane b/c the paint they use on them is different. no idea about how many coats or clear coats. most places garrantee the paint for life.

It all depends on the shops around in your area. Ask around and get several quotes. The price difference could be hundereds of dollars from shop to shop.

But if I ask them for how many coats, whats a good number? Of paint and clear coats? thanks
Should I take it to a import shop, or to a regular shop?

probably take it to an import shop b/c sometimes the kit needs to be reinforced in some places with fiberglass, and sometimes altered to fit good. i would think that an import place would have more experience with kits than a regular palce. just call a few places and see what they recommend about the coats.

i wouldn't feel comfortable going to a place only charing 100 a panel...anyways, also, lots of import places arent insured for painting, so you want to make sure you go to a reputable company, so if they screw up they have some way of paying you for their mistake...most people wouldn't think about that kind of thing, but that's my job, so i'm slightly paranoid. like everyone else said, call around and get prices, and remember, when it comes to painting, cheaper isn't necessarily beter.

if its poly-urathane make sure the place is gonna sand it, and prep it w/ a primer for polyurathane, otherwise it wont stick.

im currently getting a body kit, the bodykit fitted, and the rear end of my car from where i got in a wreck fixed. And completely repainted, all for about $2000 the paint job is gonna have anywhere from 3 to 6 clearcoats i believe, i cant remeber what the guy told me.

btw another shop wanted $2000 for just the rear end getting fixed and all stock bumpers and paint not a complete job.

I was thinking on getting either the OEM kit for the accord, which already comes painted with factory colors. This OEM kit is gonna costs me about 550 total.

My other option was the WW W-Type lip kit, and the total including painted by WW themselves would be 969 shipped to my door.

What do you guys think about this prices?

Is a OEM kit or a WW W-type kit easy to install myself? Thanks

the oem kit would bolt right up like your factory bumpers. a sinch. the ww kit you would have to drill holes to mount it, again pretty easy. are you sure that ww will paint the kit for you? i've never heard of getting pre-painted kits b/c most of the time the color needs to be computer matched to your car b/c of paint fade and other stuff that effects the color of your car. if ww will paint it and ship to your door for that price its a good deal. most kits will cost you $600-1000 and then the cost of painting.

They do paint, I emailed them asking for what type of warranty they have on the paint job and on the kit, and they said this:

"Our paint job is just like a factory paint job. Its a 3 year warranty on
the paint and lifetime on the parts. It does say "lifetime". "Limited"
means against any manufacturer defects. Basically, if you hit a tree and
destroy the parts you are not going to get a warranty. If it starts
cracking on its own and we deem it a manufacturer problem, you will receive new parts."

So, if its a pretty good deal, I'm gonna order pretty soon.
