I Would Like To Try Fix This Myself, Hwere Is The Pump And What Do I Have To Do Tto Fix It. 88 Corolla Sedan Please Help. also when i press the gas pedal the lights and blower seem to work better and hen when i come to a stop everything dimms out. any help would be greatly appreciated. i love this car, it runs good to be about16yrs old. only 106000 miles on it. and 1 more question, is it possible to put larger exhaust pipes and muffler to help increase airflow. i plan on getting a k&n air filter. just want to keep it simple. thanks.

If everything is dimming out when you stop or slow down, it's going to be the alternator. Check the battery too.

For the washer, it may be your nozzles are corroded and clogged up. You can try to clean them with CLR calcium lime and rust cleaner. Or do the easy thing and go to the junkyard and get a different set. When you have them removed from the car, try to blow through them. If you can then they are good and clear. Got a replacement set for my 90 Rolla for $2.
