ABS wheel speed sensor

This is just a generic question, I don't have a problem.
I only know of two different types of wheel speed sensors, one is a variable reluctance sensor, makes it's own voltage, an ac signal. the other is a magneto resistive sensor or something like that. Does not make it's own voltage, has to receive a reference voltage and puts out a dc signal. Are there others? Just curious, thanks

The magneto resistive wss is like a hall switch, only two wires though, one carries voltage to the sensor, the other wire carries the sensor signal. Are we talking about the same thing? The sensors I listed are the only two I know of. thanks
