cylinder

hey do anybody no i do you no if your cylinder is gone bad becasue i have a 2000 grand am and its misfre really bad and i cant find anything wrong with it. i replace fuelfilter,sparkplugs,boots,coils,and the fuelpressure regulator can anybody help me pluse sometimes when i started it i hear a clicking noise but it goes away quick.

That ticking is a lifter. Our lifters are hydraulic and have to wait for warm oil to get all the way up to them. After the oil gets to them (within 45 seconds of startup) the ticking goes away cause they're lubricated then. So I think that the ticker sound is independent of your cylinder issue. Not sure what the deal is with that though if you've changed all that other stuff. Wires maybe? Hope someone gives u some advice on that

Tricky things they are. My GA has it a little bit every now and then (mostly in the cooler weather), and the Formula has a similar slight piston slap issue. Have you tried usiing a slightly thinner oil to expedite the flow? May be worth a shot is it bothers you. It's really only a nuisance though. I'd only be worried if it continues for an extended period of time.

i replace the sparkplug wires i dont no why it still shaking keeps reading misfire code 303 cylinder 3
