i was on my way to my friends house (he was behind me) and i pulled up at a stop light on a 6 lane road. It was me then a van and then a 240sx. The 240 wanted to race, so of couse... i accepted. We were even through first, i spun second and by the end of second he was at my rear bumper, and after 2nd it was over lol, goin about 60 and coming up on some cars. I felt so good after that. He should stick to drifting.

My first hatch was a dx and man, i wouldnt race anything. I was afraid some moped would hand my ass to me some day or something. That motor was a dog.

When I first got my car it was all stock and I got tromped by a Suzuki Swift GT. I decided racing with a DX motor isn't really as fun as I make it out to be, and got a swap less than a month later. :p
With 92hp you shouldn't even be flooring it, unless you have to do it to get up to highway speed, then I understand.

Ooh, thats pathetic for the Nissan driver.
maybe, maybe not.
one time i was running errands with my mom-in-law. i still had the a6. a 240 was trying to get me to race. light after light, block after block he's reving and doing stupid stuff like sitting at a green light while my lane of traffic cathes up in hopes i'll race when we get side by side. i get to a stop sign on a 2 laned 1 way street about to make a right to go home. here comes the 240 again. my mother-in-law looks at me and says "would you smoke him already?" :ylsuper:
now i'm going to say right now i don't believe in street racing. going straight at the stop sign puts you on a 2 lane 1 way bridge after you cross the intersection. there was no other traffic or any people around. racing city streets is :thumbsdow
back to the nissan......i took him thru 1st, 2nd, and let off in 3rd as he was easily a car length behind me, if not more.
in this case i can say it was a crappy driver. he shifted at 3500rpm eachtime...i had him by simply holding my gears.

it was an 89-94 with the popup headlights. Yeah all i have in my car is a short ram (keepin the cold air off til it warms up again), removed A/C, new tires and a new radiator. And they really arent that fast, my friend has like an 02 neon sohc with 17s and he still beats this kid with a 240 from our highschool.

i guess the one i was talking about is 95+ because it didn't have pop-up lights, it was the next generation :dunno:

Yea, I found out the D I had, probably had about 150,000 miles on it before it was sprayed with 125 shot for a long time, then the guy got a ZC and put this motor in my car when I got it 2 years ago (I didn't know it was sprayed untill like right before I got my B18) I beat the hell outta that motor all day everyday, and sprayed it with a 50 shot, and it ran for close to a year and a half. Matter of fact, we put the same motor in that little black hatch we had, ran the piss outta it. He just sold it today. And it's still running. God bless Honda.

there are many factors as to why a motor blows. i don't think it's exactly fair to say a d or a b will be more reliable.
we have both sohc vtec and dohc vtec...they are equal in honda quality in my opinion

yeah your right about the b d thing, but in my d i never even changed the oil, i just wanted to blow it up. i think the most fun when you want to blow up a motor is take it in the rain...........
