1984 choke problem

I have A 1984 SR5 it acts like the choke is stuck closed but it is open
it runs rough unless I kill it for about 10 sec. after it warms up then it runs great what do you think the problem is ?

not really sure what your problem is, but here is a little something that might help./ theres a carb choke cleaner at your local part store, i suggest buying some of this and spraying down into and on your carb. it will remove a lot of the gunk and that might be your problem.

Check the vacuum advance on the distributor. If its not advancing when she's cold it'll run rough until its warm.
