78 Camaro

Hey im a bit of a new guy. Well heres the story. My uncle has a 1978 Camaro that he will give me, eventually. I guess its in his will or something but i beleive i will get it before that. Its got a 350 Big Block in it and a 4 speed manual. What do you think? I like it personally, he ran from the cops awhile back and did pretty well. He wouldve gotten away but he got lost and ended up in a colda sack. But anyways im not sure what all he has done to it but when i get it i wanna max it out. I wanna mainly do engine work and make it as fast as possible without buying a whole new engine. Any suggestions on things to help. I would eventually want to get a blower but dont know what cant i should get, or what kind of pulleys or anything. So if you have any comments suggestions etc go ahead.

First off, i have never heard of a stock 350 big block, all the 350's i know of are the small blocks. As for performance modifications, i would rebuild the motor with all forged internals, 4340 forged crank, 4340 forged H beam rods, some high compression forged pistons. After rebuilding the motor, if you want another power adder, i would put a procharger centrifugal supercharger. The centrifugal superchargers fit under the hood so it gives kinda the sleeper look. Other performance modifications are maybe some bigger tires and new suspension to hold all the power to the ground. Oh, and please dont run from the popo like your uncle did, maybe you wont be as lucky as he was. Then your car gets impounded and auctioned. Good luck.

Yeah i dont know about the engine he said its a 350 big block so maybe i should take alook myself. As for the advice thanks. Dont worry about me running from the cops, that was his stupididy. And i dont consider him lucky he got shot up badly and so did the car. We had to redo a bunch of stuff after that. It had bullet holes everwhere and some parts like my air shock lines got damaged so they didnt hold air. We had to re paint it after having the holes done and the paint got fadded because he was in prison and so yeah. When i get it i wanna put a paint job on it because of the fadded paint on one side. Sounds like you really know what your doing when you gave me that advice. Thanks
