Is it possible to put a b16 or similar engine in a cvcc?Or is there a more common swap out there?I've looked but I haven't seen anything on swapping engines in these to make them quick.I've got a thing for sleepers and this car looks like a great candidate for a b-series swap to make it way faster than it should be.

i assume by cvcc you mean a first gen 1500cc civic? if so then a b-series will require a completely custom set-up. Justin March up here in vancouver has done a number of them so it can be done, here (http://www.redpepperracing.com/gallery/langley_car_show/aau) (and here (http://www.redpepperracing.com/gallery/langley_car_show/aaa)) is a pic i took of one at a local car show this summer. basically any honda motor that is not from 83 or older (excluding the 83 prelude) will not bolt into a first gen cvcc. if you are looking a for a relatively easy swap to give a little more power you're looking at an EK1 which comes out of the early Accords and Preludes. it's a 1.8l engine but is still has just an 8 valve non cross flow head. the motor will look almost identical to your 1.5l cvcc motor. i just completed an EK swap into my 83 civic and i'll start a new thread explaining what i have done to it but here is a pic of it. don’t expect this engine to perform like a modern 1.8l, the 8 valve cvcc head is quite restrictive
