Im a big Chevy fan and when they stoped the production of the camaro I go really disapointed. Lately I been seeing and increasingly large amount of people saying that in the year 2007 chevy was gonna bring the camaro back in a muscle car for (kinda like the 05' stang). As much as I would like for this to happen, Is it true?........Is chevy gonna rise the camaro from the grave or is this another one of their sick jokes/crazy comcepts.

really dont know anything until it happens.. but im not gonna get myself all excited for nothin.. there will be a new chevy coming out in that time frame.. whether its a camaro or chevelle or totally new car, we dont know.. but im pretty sure it will be a v8 rwd car that will at least compete with, if not destroy the mustang..

I know what ya mean but Im gonna sell the cars I have now so I will be able to get something modern, it might not be a camaro because I need something big but it might be something to think of for the future.

i think retro styling is gay... and i really don't like the new stang's looks. although i'm proud it finally got some more power... i don't like retro styling, its like the pt cruiser or "new" beetle, it will be really popular for a while, then it will bomb

rumor is that since they took camaro off the production line there are some legal issues about using that same name(forget specificly which) so they were considering a few names, one of which is the best car ever... the chevelle :) ill try to dig up my chevy high performance mag and read the article again

I think the legal issue is with a contract with the city that the last generation of Camaros were produced in, where they hold the rights to make them in their city until 2017 or something.
I could be completely wrong though, but I read that somewhere.

ouch! that really sucks dude im sry to hear that. my dad had his fully restored '65 vette rolling chassis stolen from him when we moved from CA to AZ. he had it in a garage and his corvette "buds" saw an opportunity and stole it. cops didnt care though and didnt really look into it, dont no why.

It was legal issues with Canadians on closing the plant. It was something about an agreement that that plant was the only one going to be allowed to produce the f-body until 2020. Well, since the plant is gone, they are in a pissing contest between canadians on wether they can use the "camaro" name or not due to the previous agreement.

I'm pretty sure the plan is to bring back the camaro is 06 or 07 as an Anniversary deal. And then start producing them after that. So the camaro is only on a "hibernation" plan right now. There are many photos of the supposed car to be relased. I believe the most accurate is of a 2005 Camaro Concept, its orange and looks extremely nice. But start looking at the major auto shows here in the recent future. If anything they'll announce a new camaro within the next year at major shows like Chicao or L.A. or possibly New York.

Yeah. I really like the scetches I have seen. Hopefully they can still use the name Camaro though. Scott Settlemeier wouldnt tell us yes or no in Atlanta, but he said have hope.
