stall in a right hand turn

I have a 1989 wrangler (6cyl, auto) that wants to sputter and stall in a right hand turn. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Fuel pickup problem? I had a 97 that would try to quit on rt hand turns, if the tank was below 1/4.

Thanks for the reply. Tank is 3/4 full. Mine is a carberated model. Could this be the float in the carb?? Anyway- thanks again

Yup, now that I'm thinking (duh) it could very well be the carb. Might be time for a rebuild or replacement....don't want it to die when you're on that rock at a 30* angle.....
