98 Jetta door lock problem

Last week we had to have the trilock alarm removed because it malfunctioned and the car wouldn't start. Now the drivers side automatic window will not work and the automatic door lock/unlock doesn't work from the inside of the car. The doors will lock and unlock if you are outside and put the key in the door and turn the key, but if you are inside and want to get out of the car you have to pull up on the door lock to get out. Does anyone have any ideas as to what is wrong?

The anti-theft module you probably removed is intergral to the central locking system. It shouldn't affect the driver's window though. You can check the 32 pin connector at the A pillar for 12V between pins #1 & #22 and between #1 & #27. After that you have to open up the door panel & test the switch & motor.

There was actually a broken ground wire in the drivers side door. The person who took out the alarm screwed up some of the wiring and that is what caused the window and door locks to not work correctly.
