02 2500 HD lost power steering/brakes.

68,000 miles-work truck. I was plowing this morning, and the power steering/brakes quit on me. No brake pedal at all-can't depress it more than an inch or so. Mechanic thinks it might be the power steering pump.

Could be...you have a hydroboost system on your truck...brake assist is done by the P/S pump...if you lost P/S and brakes, I would check the fluid first and make sure you don't have a leak

Turns out it was the p/s pump shaft (also a slight leak in the system). Thanks for the tip.
