98 cavalier no horn or cig lighter? help me please

hi there.. i have a 98 cav.. and the cig lighter stopped working the other day and my horn also stopped.. i changed the fuse in the inside panel for the cig lighter but it still doesn't work. is there anything else i can check or do? i looked under the hood and there was no fuse for the horn. please email me [email protected] and let me know what to do.. i am baffled..

check ALL fuses, check the cig lighter fuse, if it has blown again then you have a short to ground, most likey at the cigar lighter itself.(did a penny fall in there?) the horn may be a part of the same circuit, or a bad relay is possible.

stop smoking, that solves that part of it (only joking). the horn wont have a separate fuse, they rarely do as the rarely go wrong so it's probably the lighter that has caused the problem, it may be worth changing the fuse for the lighter again and leave the lighter out it's hole to see if the horn works again as if the lighter is the problem when you replace the fuse it may just blow it again making you think it's not the fuse. Other than that the contact in the horn may be at fault which you shouldn't try to attempt yourself as you will have an air-bag even if you do disconnect the battery they can still deploy and you don't want that!!!!!
