IAC valve reset procedures

I have a 94 K1500 that has a idling problem,Ive tracked everthing down to the IAC,does anybody know what the reset procedure is for the computer after you install a new IAC.The truck idles fine(600)untill I drive a block or so then the idle will raise to about 9-1200 rpm's,if I shut the truck off the idle goes back to normal, I don't know if the reset sequence is keeping this thing from idling right,ive replaced the temp sensor and all other sensorscheck out good egr,tps ect...

You never mentioned if you checked for vaccum leaks or not. Most often these are a source of idle snags. Also another thing to look at is your throttle body gasket .As for reseting your computer, all you need to do is disconnect your battery for a few minutes (key turned off), then after you reconnect it ,take the truck for a drive . While driving the ecm relearns the sensor values & begins to do it's thing after that.
