Ok I am gettin a down-pipe, Boost controller, Intake.
What else do i need to get to turn up my boost higher than 14psi and still be safe and dont mess anything up.
I read the 3si.org thing and it said if u get injectors, fuel pump, air/fuel controller then u can turn up the boost higher than 14psi. But how high can i turn it up with just dose fuel upgrades and be safe.
I want to make sure that I am not going to mess anything up. Safe psi.

Get the injectors and fuel control, and a fuel pump

People have said that after like 15psi the turbos just heat up the air too much (through convection not through compression) and don't hold it very far into the powerband. If you realy want to turn up the boost and you have the coine, get some bigger turbos. What is the farthest you see yourself going with the upgrades?

For now, i dont want or dont have the money to get bigger turbos. So do u mean i shouldent go over 15psi and higher with stock turbos or not even go 15psi and just go with 14psi with stock turbos?

you can deffinatly go higher, but it depends on a lot of factors, the easyest way to find out how high is to get a data logger and monitor knock. knock is bad, so you want a knock count of 0.

I wouldn't bother going past 15psi on stock turbos..yes it can be done, etc, but I wouldn't. If you are getting an AFC, larger injectors, fuel pump, just save a bit more for turbos...otherwise the gains from the other stuff will not be as profitable.

Also, get a datalogger and monitor knock as talskinyguy said, if you plan on boosting more than 14.5psi Boost depends on mods, weather, and quite a few other factors...there is no preset boost numbers, similar to the 14.5psi, for later upgrades, because that would be dangerous...at that point it is car specific, and we can't just generalize like we do with the 14.5psi 'rule of thumb'.

when they say turning it over 15 blows in a lot of hot air, that doesnt mean that you'll be fine by upgrading fuel (although that level PSI on stock fuel is a big no-no) but bascially, when you attempt to boost over 15lbs of boost, the turbo wasn't built for that kind of pressure so it overworks itself causing lots and lots of heat which leads to detonation. Bigger turbos dont have to work as hard so they dont produce as much heat. Plus, the stock turbos can't flow enough air for the 6g72 motor for that kind of pressure. You might see 15lbs for a split second, and then it will drop back down to 10 lbs.

Don't turn up the boost, leave it at 12psi. With stock boost you usually have full boost till 4500, then it'll drop to 10psi, then down to 8. Get the BC so it will hold a constant 12psi. Don't make the 9b's hit 15 psi

I shouldent even go 14psi???????

Set it to anyting you want under 14.5, remember thats just peak.

what dose peak mean?

Maximum boost at a certain Rpm it's like this

The PSI will climb hit peak and then drop off again as you move through the Rpm's. For example there's no boost at 200 RPM's

.........._ - 14.5 peak boost @ 4500 RPMs
......._...._
.... _ ....... _
__ -0 psi
1 2 3 4 5 6 7

Edit:\ GRRRRRRR stupid space remover!

Underscores are the boost levels .'s are spaces :P
