1). My vehicle has 124,700 miles on it. The problem started 2 weeks ago, I tried to start it the temp was about 10degrees. It had been running fine until then. It would start and kill about 3 times then I thought I had it flooded so I held it to the floor and it didn't do anything. I then let it sit for about 5-10 min and it started but I had to step on the gas to keep it running. I then went and put some Isopropel in the tank thinking I had moisture in the tank. Then it ran good for about 1 week. Today I went out and tried to start it and it did the same thing it had done a week ago except now it won't start at all it doesn't even fire. Do you think it could be the ' Idle Air Control Valve?'
Problem 2). Won't go into High or Low range 4-wheel drive. The light will come on to tell you what you put it in and it will click but it doesn't go in. In Low range, it will go into Low 2-wheel drive but won't engage the front drive. Please let me know if you have any ideas!!!!!

I doubt it's the IAC. That only supplies air with no gas pedal. You would be able to start it with pedal if the IAC were shot.

You're problem was close to what my problem was, and it was the idle control valve. It is electrically operated and often can be intermittent. At the mileage that you have, that would be the first thing that I would look at. Look down the forum on this page and you will see other references to this same starting/idle problem. This fix is about $30 to $50.00 bucks depending on where you buy the valve and about 30 minutes to an hour depending on how quick you are in changing out the IAC valve.

In Low range, it will go into Low 2-wheel drive but won't engage the front drive. Please let me know if you have any ideas? We have checked all fuses and none were out. Don't know what else to do?
