Humming/Buzzing at 60mph?

whenever i hit about 55-60 in my malibu, i get a whining/humming/buzzing noise from the left front wheel.. its not like brakes grinding, it did it before i did a brake overhaul, then today i just put on brand new caliper, new rotors, new ceramic pads and new hardware... its a pretty loud noise but nothing the radio won't tune out... what possibilites are there? my first guess was wheel bearing, so i got a price, and autozone told me i have to buy the entire hub assembly and i can't buy just the bearing

any help is appreciated, thanks alot

Nick

It probably is the wheel bearing...I just took my '01 with 72K miles in (extended warrranty) for the ABS light coming on (amongst other things) and besides replacing the hubs & sensors, they found the wheel bearings to be shot and replaced them too. Extended warranties on this vehicle are a life saver. I got:

New lower intake manifold
New intake gasket
New strut assembly (pass. side)
New wheel hubs
New ABS Sensors
New wheel bearings
New ignition lock
Reprogram of BCM (doors quit unlocking upon shutting the car off)

Cost to me: free
Cost to warranty company: $2700

=)
